मुंबई, दि. 26 : कारगिल विजय दिनाचे औचित्य साधून राज्यपाल रमेश बैस यांच्या हस्ते बुधवारी आसाम व अरुणाचल प्रदेश राज्य सैनिक कल्याण मंडळांना प्रत्येकी एक रुग्णवाहिका भेट देण्यात आली.  हुतात्मा जवान तसेच माजी सैनिकांच्या कल्याणासाठी कार्य करणाऱ्या अथर्व फाउंडेशनच्या वतीने दोन्ही राज्यांना रुग्णवाहिका भेट देण्यात आली.

देशाचे वीर जवान प्रतिकूल परिस्थितीत देशाच्या सीमांचे रक्षण करीत असतात. अश्यावेळी हौतात्म्य प्राप्त झालेल्या जवानांच्या तसेच माजी सैनिकांच्या कुटुंबीयांच्या कल्याणासाठी काम करणे नागरिकांचे कर्तव्य असते असे सांगून राज्यपालांनी अथर्व फाऊंडेशनचे अभिनंदन केले.  अथर्व फाऊंडेशन ही संस्था देशाच्या कानाकोपऱ्यातील हुतात्मा जवानांच्या मुला – मुलींच्या शिक्षणासाठी करीत असलेले कार्य कौतुकास्पद आहे, असे उद्गार राज्यपालांनी यावेळी काढले.

कार्यक्रमाला अथर्व फाऊंडेशनचे अध्यक्ष, आमदार सुनील राणे, निमंत्रक कर्नल (नि.) सुधीर राजे, कर्नल एस. चॅटर्जी, डॉ. बालाजी शिंदे व आसाम रायफलचे अधिकारी व जवान उपस्थित होते.

Kargil Vijay Diwas : Maha Governor presents Ambulances to Assam and Arunachal Pradesh Sainik Boards

 

Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais handed over the keys of 2 Ambulances to the representatives of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh State Sainik Welfare Boards on the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas at Raj Bhavan Mumbai on Wed (26 July).

The Ambulances to be used for the service of ex-servicemen and their families and families of martyrs from the armed forces were gifted by the Atharva Foundation.

Speaking on the occasion, the Governor applauded the work of Atharva Foundation in the area of educating the children of the martyrs and ex servicemen from the armed forces.

President of the Atharva Foundation and Borivali MLA Sunil Rane briefed the Governor about the work of the Foundation during the last 15 years. Convenor of the Foundation Col. (retd.) Sudhir Raje, Col. S. Chatterjee, Dr Balaji Shinde and officers and jawans of Assam Rifle were present.
