मुंबई, दि.१९ : खोटी बिले देऊन शासनाचा करोडो रुपयांचा महसूल बुडविणाऱ्या करदात्यांविरुद्ध महाराष्ट्र शासनाने घेतलेल्या विशेष मोहिमेअंतर्गत हिरालाल जैन व प्रमोद कातरनवरे या दोन व्यक्तींना महाराष्ट्र वस्तू व सेवाकर विभागाने करचुकवेगिरी साठी १६ मार्च २०२२ रोजी अटक केली आहे.
खोटी बिले देऊन शासनाची करोडो रुपयांची महसूल हानी करणाऱ्या करदात्यांविरुद्ध महाराष्ट्र शासनाने घेतलेल्या विशेष मोहिमेअंतर्गत मे.टेस्को इम्पेक्स आणि मे. पारसमणी ट्रेडर्स या प्रकरणांमध्ये अन्वेषण भेट देण्यात आली होती. टेस्को इम्पेक्सचे मालक प्रमोद कातरनवरे आणि पारसमणी ट्रेडर्स या कंपनीचे मालक गणेश काकड हे कोणताही व्यवसाय करीत नाहीत. दोन्ही प्रकरणांमध्ये वस्तूंच्या पुरवठ्याशिवाय १९७ कोटी रुपयांची बनावट बीजक देऊन आणि २९ कोटी रुपयांचा वस्तू व सेवाकर त्यांच्या प्राप्तकर्त्यांना स्थानांतरीत करून २९ कोटी रूपयांची बनावट वजावट मिळवून दिली आहे. म्हणूनच दोन्ही करदात्यांनी महाराष्ट्र वस्तू व सेवाकर अधिनियम, २०१७ च्या तरतुदींचे उल्लंघन करून वस्तूंचा पुरवठा न करता बिजक किंवा बिले जारी करुन शासनाची महसूल नुकसान केले आहे.
या दोन्ही प्रकरणांमध्ये हिरालाल जैन हे कर्ताधर्ता असून प्रमोद कातरनवरे हे ही महसूल नुकसानीमध्ये सहभागी असल्याचे निष्पन्न झाले आहे. त्यामुळे हिरालाल जैन व प्रमोद कातरनवरे या दोन व्यक्तींना महाराष्ट्र वस्तू व सेवाकर विभागाने करचुकवेगिरीसाठी १६ मार्च २०२२ रोजी अटक केली आहे. या व्यक्तींचे कृत्य हे दखलपात्र व अजामीनपात्र गुन्हा असून वस्तू व सेवाकर कायदा २०१७ नुसार तुरूंगवासास पात्र आहे. या दोन्ही व्यक्तींना मा. अतिरिक्त मुख्य महानगर दंडाधिकारी यांच्या न्यायालयाने दि. २८ मार्च २०२२ पर्यंत न्यायालयीन कोठडी सुनावली आहे.
या प्रकरणात अन्वेषण अधिकारी सहायक राज्यकर आयुक्त श्रीकांत पवार हे राज्यकर उपआयुक्त प्रविण कुलकर्णी यांच्या मार्गदर्शनाखाली अधिक तपास करीत आहेत. या तपासासाठी सहआयुक्त अन्वेषण कर अनिल भंडारी यांचे विशेष मार्गदर्शन लाभले, या कार्यवाहीसाठी सुजित पाटील, प्रशांत खराडे, विद्याधर जगताप, सुमेधकुमार गायकवाड, रंजित हातोले आणि श्रीमती लीनता चव्हाण, सर्व सहाय्यक राज्यकर आयुक्त हे सहभागी होते. सलग दोन महिन्यांच्या अटक कार्यवाहीतून महाराष्ट्र वस्तू व सेवाकर विभागाने कर चुकवेगिरी करणाऱ्यांना पुन्हा एकदा गंभीर इशारा दिला आहे, असे एका पत्रकाद्वारे महाराष्ट्र वस्तू व सेवाकर विभागाने प्रसिध्दीस दिलेल्या पत्रकाव्दारे कळविले आहे.

TWO ARRESTED IN GST SCAM WORTH AROUND RS. 200 CRORE
The investigation was conducted in the cases of M/s. Tesco Impex and M/s. Parasmani Traders as a part of a special operation launched against taxpayers issuing fake invoices by the Maharashtra government. During the investigation, it was noticed that Shri. Pramod Katarnavare, owner of M/s. Tesco Impex and Shri. Ganesh Kakad, owner of M/s. Parasmani Traders were not doing any business. In both the cases, by issuing fake invoices of Rs. 197 crore without supply of goods and by transferring ITC of Rs. 29 Crore, fake deduction of Rs 29 crore has been made available to the recipients. Thus, both the taxpayers have violated the provisions of the Maharashtra Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017 by issuing invoices or bills without supply of the goods and thereby causing huge loss of revenue to the exchequer.
During the investigation, it was found that one Shri. Hiralal Jain is the operator in both the cases and Shri. Pramod Katarnavare was hand in glove in causing the revenue loss. Therefore, both the persons, Shri. Hiralal Jain and Shri. Pramod Katarnavare have been arrested by Maharashtra Goods and Services Tax Department on 16/03/2022. The act of these persons is cognizable and non-bailable offence and is liable to imprisonment under the Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. Both the persons have been remanded in judicial custody till 28/03/2022 by the Hon’ble Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate’s Court.
Investigating Officer Shri. Shrikant Pawar, Assistant Commissioner of State Tax is conducting further investigation in this case under the guidance of Shri. Praveen Kulkarni, Deputy Commissioner of State Tax. Special guidance was given by Hon’ble Shri. Anil Bhandari (IAS), Joint Commissioner of State Tax, Investigation – C for this case. Shri. Sujit Patil, Dr. Vidhyadhar Jagtap, Shri. Prashant Kharade, Shri. Ranjit Hatole, Shri. Sumedhkumar Gaikwad and Smt. Leenata Chavan, all Assistant Commissioner State Tax and State Tax Inspectors actively participated in this action. By augmenting arrest actions in last two months the Maharashtra Goods and Services Tax Department has once again issued a stern warning to the tax evaders.
