मुंबई, दि. 6:- ज्येष्ठ क्रीडा पत्रकार, संपादक, समीक्षक आणि समालोचक वि. वि. करमरकर यांच्या निधनाबद्दल राज्यपाल रमेश बैस यांनी दुःख व्यक्त केले आहे.

श्री करमरकर सच्चे क्रीडा प्रेमी, उत्कृष्ट क्रीडा पत्रकार व मराठी समालोचन क्षेत्रातील आघाडीचे व्यक्तिमत्व होते.  स्वातंत्र्योत्तर काळातील राज्याच्या एकूणच क्रीडा विकासाच्या मोठ्या कालखंडाचे ते अभ्यासू साक्षीदार व भाष्यकार होते. राज्यातील क्रीडा पत्रकारितेचा इतिहास त्यांच्या बहुविध योगदानाचा समावेश केल्याशिवाय अपूर्ण राहील, असे राज्यपालांनी आपल्या शोकसंदेशात म्हटले आहे.

Governor Ramesh Bais condoles demise of sports journalist V. V. Karmarkar

 Dated-६ :- The Governor of Maharashtra Ramesh Bais has expressed grief over the demise of veteran sports journalist, editor and commentator V. V. Karmarkar. In a condolence message the Governor has said:

“Shri V. V. Karmarkar was an avid sports lover, outstanding sports journalist and a pioneering cricket commentator in Marathi. He was a witness to, and an authoritative commentator on  the sports development in Maharashtra during the post independence period.  The history of sports journalism in Maharashtra will be incomplete without a reference to his multifaceted contributions.”
