Why Is Water Stored On Roads ?; The Municipality Does Not Have To Answer This Question

Bhushan Garud : Even though water is being stored in the river due to the rains in Pune city and people are losing their lives, why is water flowing on the roads? The corporation does not find the answer to this question.

On the other hand, however, there is no mud in the rainy drainage; The municipality is claiming that the drainage is being repaired to access the water from the road. Why spend billions of rupees on drainage maintenance? The answer is no.

Due to the lack of drainage of the roads in the monsoon, water is entering the houses of the people along the winding roads and causing huge damage to people. The municipality says it has a system of rainy drainage of 800 km long and stored. Also, the municipality is giving an average of Rs 6 crore a year for their maintenance. In fact, some municipal officials say that only the silt in the drainage is being removed. The municipality claimed that the drainage was cleaned before the rainy season and there will be no water supply on the roads. Then, it is unclear to Northern Municipal officials why so much water is stored on the roads in recent rains.

The main stream of the flowing water has changed. Since the height of the rainy drainage is above the height of the road, the water from the road does not pass through the chamber into the drainage.
