Cabinet expansion in Goa; Four people, including Babu Kawalekar, took oath as the minister

Panaji: The swearing-in of four new ministers, Babu Kawalekar, Michael Lobo, Jennifer Monster and Philip Neri Rodriguez, was on Saturday. Chief Minister Pramod Sawant announced the name of Kavalekar as the new Deputy Chief Minister. Prior to this, the Chief Minister issued a mandate ordering Vijay Sardesai, Rohan Khanwate, Jayesh Salgaonkar and Vinod Palaykar to drop four ministers from the cabinet. 
Swearing-in ceremony was held on Saturday evening in the Raj Bhavan. Kawalekar, Lobo and Jennifer were all in the Cabinet for the first time in their life. Time’s MLA Phillip Nerie Rodriguez was a minister a few years ago. He has also worked as Deputy Chief Minister. He is now a minister in the government led by Sawant.

Ten MLAs including Kawalekar went to the BJP from the Congress. Babush Monserett was expected to become a minister. However, Moncerre did not want you to be a minister, your wife, Jennifer, took the role of minister. Chief Minister Sawant agreed. Jennifer is a MLA from Talegaon constituency. 

current government Babu Awgaonkar is also the Deputy Chief Minister. Ajgaonkar is the MLA from Pendono constituency. Vijay Sardesai, President of the Goa Forward, was also the Deputy Chief Minister. Before the Goa Chief Minister, three ministers to resign Sawant said the forward had said on Friday. He did not resign. Independent Rohan Khantwe did not even resign from the post of minister. Hence, the Chief Minister left the four to the Chief Minister on Saturday. 

In the presence of many BJP activists in the evening, Governor Smt. Mridula Sinha administered the oath of authority and secrecy to four new ministers on the occasion of Raj Bhavan. Four ministers were sworn in by the government. All the ministers and some MLAs were present on this occasion. Chief Secretary Parimal Ray completed the Sohaliya process.
