EC bans BJP leader Pravesh Verma for second time, calls Kejriwal ‘terrorist’

Recently, BJP MP from West Delhi, Pravesh Verma, also made a controversial statement on the sit-in protest in Shaheen Bagh in protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). The election commission had banned them. Pravesh Verma had said, ‘What happened to Kashmiri Pandits in Kashmir can also happen in Delhi. Millions of people gather in Shaheen Bagh, they can enter your houses and rape and murder your sister and daughters and kill them. Now people have to decide.

Pravesh Verma did not stop at this. He also said that it should be investigated who is inciting people to protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act, while the government has repeatedly assured that nobody will lose citizenship due to the amended law. Verma had alleged that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia supported the protesters of Shaheen Bagh and now the people of Delhi have to decide who they want to vote for in the February 8 assembly elections.
