Action is being taken against those who illegally stockpile Gutkha, Panamsala, Mugandhit tobacco and similar banned food items without any government license. On On 06/05/2020, Ninad Sawant, Inspector of Police in-charge of Crime Branch Room-4, received convincing information from his confidential informants that Shaukat Ali Road, Kamathipura, Street No. 1, Nagpada, Mumbai. An ISM here is illegally stockpiling banned food items like Gutkha, Panamsala, Aromatic Tobacco, banned by the Government of Maharashtra for sale at inflated prices. In order to verify this news and take appropriate legal action against them, Proponi Sawant immediately asked the officer of the Food and Drug Administration Department, Shri. Ravindra Jabaji called Jakte to Crime Branch Room-4 and instructed him to form a team of officers, staff and judges of Room-4 and take action against them.
