Following the violent protests in north-east Delhi, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said on Thursday that the Delhi government would bear the expenses of the private hospital for those injured in the violence. Apart from this, Kejriwal announced that the families of the deceased would be given a compensation of Rs 10 lakh. A compensation of five lakh rupees will be given on the death of the minor and rupees five lakh on the burning of the entire house and the entire shop.

Kejriwal said that today we have had many meetings. It has been decided to take steps to provide relief to the affected people. He said, “If the injured during the violence goes to a private hospital and gets treatment, then the Delhi government will pay for it under the angel scheme.”
