Passenger plane crashes in Ghazni province, 110 passengers aboard

There is a bad news coming from Afghanistan. According to local time on Monday in the northeastern Ghazni province, the plane of state-owned airline Ariana Afghan crashed at around 1.30 pm. 

Arif Noori, spokesperson for the governor of Ghazni province, said, “A plane crashed in Deh Yak district of Ghazni province at around 10 in the afternoon (8:40 am international time). The plane is on fire and villagers are trying to extinguish it. “We still don’t know if it was a military aircraft or commerce.”

At present, the casualties are not known.

At the moment there is nothing clear about the number of casualties, but the number of casualties can be much higher. Local media has reported that there were at least 80 people aboard the aircraft, while some media reports are reporting about 100 people boarding it. The cause of the incident is not yet known.

The plane has crashed in the mountainous Deh Yak district in Ghazni province, which is partially under Taliban control.
