However, his efforts were foiled by the Customs Department. This gold smuggler is named Naushad. He is a resident of Mallapuram in Kerala. On Friday, he was traveling from Sharjah to Kerala. Meanwhile, the Customs Department officials and police inspected it at Kochi airport. It was then revealed that he had hidden 1kg of gold in a wig. Police arrested him immediately after this.

Naushad had cleverly hidden the gold in the wig. He had his hair cut off in the middle of his head. However, he did not cut the hair on all four sides of his head. Naushad cleverly placed the gold in the center of his head. However, customs officials and police at Kochi airport had already received a tip-off about his smuggling. Due to this, a thorough investigation was underway at Kochi Airport. Naushad arrived at the Kochi airport during the investigation. Police arrested him after he noticed that he had metal on his head. Police investigation later revealed that he had hidden 1kg of gold in the wig. Police were shocked to find this unusual shape of Naushad. Earlier, a cocaine smuggler had fought against this problem. He had hidden 24 million cocaine in a wig. However, the smuggler was arrested at Barcelona Airport.

Increased smuggling of gold into the country

There has been an increase in the number of gold smuggling incidents in the country for the past few days. Earlier, in January 2019, the Customs Department at Chennai Airport had arrested a smuggler of 24kg worth of Rs 8 crore. In November 2018, a woman smuggling gold at Pune International Airport was arrested by the Pune Customs Department. The woman had fought a great deal in smuggling gold. She had brought a gold paste from a polythene bag. A gold paste weighing 2 kg 791 grams was found in a polythene bag near her. The gold was valued at Rs 90 lakh 44 thousand 235.
