New Delhi. The GST Panel set up on the issue of tax evasion is in favor of keeping gold and Precious Stones out of the purview of e-way bill. The panel believes that under the e-way bill system, live locations are taxed and the consignment movement remains with the department. In such a situation, law and order problems may arise due to leakage of information and separate arrangements may also have to be made for security. In such a situation, there can be a lot of trouble for businessmen. So the current system is better.

Explain that in April, 2018, the government started the system of e-way bill for interstate and interstate movement of goods worth more than Rs. 50 thousand.
Just Gold and Prishiys Stones The e-way is outside the purview of the bill. But the Kerala government had demanded that gold and precious stones be brought under the purview of the e-way bill to prevent GST theft. The GST panel, headed by Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Modi, met on Saturday and in the meeting it was suggested by more members that Gold and Precious Stones be kept out of the e-way bill. Earlier, the Law Committee gave its suggestion in this context.
