New Delhi. The GST Panel set up on the issue of tax evasion is in favor of keeping gold and Precious Stones out of the purview of e-way bill. The panel believes that under the e-way bill system, live locations are taxed and the consignment movement remains with the department. In such a situation, law and order problems may arise due to leakage of information and separate arrangements may also have to be made for security. In such a situation, there can be a lot of trouble for businessmen. So the current system is better.

Explain that in April, 2018, the government started the system of e-way bill for interstate and interstate movement of goods worth more than Rs. 50 thousand.
