Chief minister Fadnavis inspects the damaged crops in Akola

Akola : The crops in Akola district had faced tremendous loss due to unseasonal rains that lashed the district in the month of October. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today took a review of the damage crops in the district. He visited various farms and met farmers giving them solace.

Union minister of state for human resources and information technology minister Mr Sanjay Dhotre, Guardian minister Dr Ranjit Patil, Legislature Govardhan Sharma, Randhir Savarkar, Prakash Bharsakale, Mayor Vijay Agrawal, district magistrate Jitendra Papalkar were also present during the inspection.

The Chief Minister Mr Fadnavis visited the farm of Sanjay Trimbak Aghadte in Lakhanwada village. He reviewed the loss of cotton crops in his four acres of land and also took a stock of the loss to Soybean crop. Opposite to his farm, the CM also visited Keshav Namdev Gawande’s farm where the Jowar crops were sprouted  due to the unseasonal rains that caused havoc in the district.

 Mr Fadnavis also saw the damaged crops of Soyabean in Manohar Gawande’s farm. The chief minister had interaction  with them and assured them of providing financial assistance at the earliest. Later, the Chief Minister visited the farm of Gopal Raut on Kapshi road. Raut had harvested the soybean crops and stored it in a shed in his farm which was also damaged because of dripping of the rain water from the tin shed.

He also took stock of the destroyed soybean crops which were left useless. Mr Fadnavis visited the crops of Krishnakant Narayan Tiwari at Chikhalgaon and Kapashi. He took a stock of the damaged soybean crops of Vinod Namdev Thorat. While returning, the Chief Minister also met the farmers near Mhaispur fata and gave a patience hearing to their grievances. He assured them of sufficient financial assistance at the earliest.
