The petition of the father of one of the four convicts in the Nirbhaya gang rape and murder case has been dismissed by a Delhi court on Monday. This petition challenged the order of the Magistrate Court in which the complaint was quashed, questioning the credibility of the only witness in the case. Let us tell you that the court has set the day of execution on February 1 against all the culprits. All the accused are filing a petition in the court one by one to avoid this death sentence.

Justice A.K. Jain has rejected Pawan’s father’s review petition. In this plea, the convict Pawan’s father challenged the order of the magistrate, dismissing the application questioning the credibility of the sole witness, claiming that he was a witness and his statement was not credible.

In 2012, the only witness in the case of gang rape and murder of a 23-year-old paramedical student in the national capital, the student friend was present on the bus in the incident in which the abusive act was carried out. The student’s friend was also injured in the incident.

The court on January 6 dismissed the complaint of Hiralal Gupta, the father of one of the convicts, Pawan Kumar Gupta, seeking registration of an FIR against the only witness in the case. It was alleged in the complaint that the witness had interviewed him taking money from various news channels.
