Six bodies of Kovid-19 patients from various hospitals have been claimed missing

The Brihanmumbai Metropolitan Municipality (BMC) dismissed reports that six bodies of Kovid-19 patients from its various hospitals have been claimed missing. BMC said that the kin of five deceased have been informed or action taken as per protocol with the help of police.

He said that investigation is on in the case of a body ‘missing’ from Rajawadi Hospital. Apart from this, Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar has ordered an inquiry into the disappearance of two corona virus patients from the municipality-run Shatabdi and Rajawadi hospitals.

Recently, an 80-year-old elderly patient went missing from Shatabdi Hospital in Kandivali on the outskirts. His body was found on Monday night near Borivali railway station, about a kilometer from the hospital. 

Similarly, a patient of Kovid-19 is also missing from Rajwadi Hospital in Ghatkopar. According to an official statement, the mayor has ordered the BMC administration to investigate the missing patients from both the hospitals.

In another release, the BMC has so far denied the news of missing six bodies of Kovid-19 patients from its KEM, Zion, Trauma Center, Nair, Shatabdi and Rajawadi hospitals. Accordingly, “In five such cases, the deceased was identified and their family was informed or necessary action was taken as per the protocol with the help of the police.” According to the release, delay in reaching the dead body Doing and not reaching caused such incidents.
