The Bibwewadi police’s timely rescue saved the old woman’s life; A letter of appreciation to the old woman’s daughter to the Pune City Police Commissioner

Bhushan Garud : Older husbands and wife, who lived alone after the marriage of their daughters, thought that they were better off dying than being dependent on someone who was ill in their old age. On September 14, sending a message to relatives that they were committing suicide. The elderly husband tried to commit suicide by strangling and cutting his vein with a knife with an old wife. The incident took place at Sagar Society, Vinay Park, Sukhsagar Nagar, Katraj, Pune, police control room informed Bibwewadi police. Upon receiving information, Bibwewadi Police Naik Bhosale, Devkutte, ASI Mahajan, Police Shipai Yadav, Lokhande, PSI Atul Thorat could have reached the spot and entered the room. The old man was in a dilapidated condition, and the old woman was found lying in a pool of blood. Police take down the body of an elderly man. The old woman could have seen her breathing. The woman was taken to the hospital for treatment without any immediate delay, ensuring that the woman was alive. The body of the old man was sent to the hospital in Sassoon for autopsy. The family members of the old husband and wife were informed about the incident.

The father lost his life after being strangled and his mother was critically injured when police Naik Bhosale (6481) noticed that she was still alive and immediately took her to the hospital and alerted the family. During such times, ASI Mahajan and PC Yadav assisted us with legal formalities in the hospital. We are especially indebted to him for all the support given by PSI Atul Thorat as well as the help of the entire team. Police Nike Devukte (7546) and police constable Lokhande were very helpful in registering their statements. The entire team was led by senior police inspector Kumar Ghadge of Bibwewadi police station. We used to be scared of the police and the police station at first, but our experience with the Bibwewadi police changed our perception. Also, our mother is alive today because of the timely help by Bibwewadi police. Bibwewadi police officers and employees are less than admired, the daughters of an elderly woman said in a letter to Pune City Police Commissioner Dr K Venkateshan.

Citizens feel that Pune City Police Commissioner Dr. K Venkatesan should take note that the old woman’s life was saved due to the timeliness of Bibwewadi police. As senior officers put a smattering of applause on the backs of police personnel, a different kind of consciousness will be created between them and such societies will continue to perform useful duties.
