Mumbai, April 16- In Maharashtra, a total of 52 thousand samples have been sent for Corona test and almost 48 thousand 198 samples have been found to be negative while only 2916 persons are Corona positive after these tests. Out of these positive samples, symptoms are not yet seen in almost 60 to 70 per cent persons while 25 per cent persons are showing mild symptoms and only less than five per cent patients are serious.
Despite this, the proportion of Corona patients who are recovering and being sent home after treatment is increasing. As a result of positive response from the patients coupled with efforts taken by entire health apparatus in the state has resulted in cure of 295 patients. Such patients are bid farewell from the hospitals with applause and they are welcomed by society as well.
Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray while interacting with people of the state via face-book live told that the number of patients getting cured in increasing in the state and among the warriors winning war against Corona also include right from a six-month old baby-boy and a 83 year old grandmother. He also had a conversation with the mother of 6-month baby-boy’s mother and congratulated her.
It was on March 9th that first two patients were found in Maharashtra which was a couple from Pune and both these patients were sent home on March 23rd after successful treatment. They need to be mentioned as first two patients in state who got cured. After this while number of Corona patients is on a rise, the number of cured patients is also increasing. Health Minister Rajesh Tope told that the entire state health machinery is taking efforts to increase the extent of cured patients.
Health minister informed that out of cured patients Mumbai has 166, Thane Municipal Corporation has 6, Thane rural has 3, Kalyan Dombivli has 14 while Mira Bhayender 2, Navi Mumbai 9, Panvel 3, Ulhasnagar 1, Vasai Virar 2, Nagpur 11, Pune Municipal Corporation area 27, Pimpri Chinchwad 12, Pune rural 4, Ahmednagar rural 1, Ahmednagar municipal corporation area 2, Nashik rural 1, Ratnagiri 1, Sindhudurg 1, Sangli 25, Satara 1, Yavatmal 3 and Gondia1 patient making total cured patients 295 in state.
After getting cured from the hospital, the Government health apparatus is greeting the patients with applause and greetings as if a war is won. Health workers and officials in administration are seen seeing off the patients. The six-month old baby was welcomed in the housing society with a standing ovation even through balconies of every flat after the baby returned home from hospital by defeating Corona. Such incidents are sending positive message in the entire society and this is providing a morale boost for the health workers and relatives of the Corona patients.
